hypoglycemia without diabetes diet plan

I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes and put on Metformin on June 26th, 2019. I started some diabetes diet and followed it 100% for a few weeks and could not get my blood sugar to go below 140. Finally i began to panic and called my doctor, he told me to get used to it. He said I would be on metformin my whole life and eventually insulin. At that point i knew something wasn’t right and began to do a lot of research. Then I found a diabetes website http://www.wellhealthplans.com/diabetestreatmentvideo I read that article from end to end because everything the writer was saying made absolute sense. I started the diet that day and the next morning my blood sugar was down to 100 and now i have a fasting blood sugar between Mid 70’s and the 80’s. My doctor took me off the metformin after just three week of being on this lifestyle change. I have lost over 30 pounds and 6+ inches around my waist in a month. The truth is we can get off the drugs and help myself by trying natural methods

her number was like 102 after eating the most crap ever ??
Everything gestational diabetes meal plan dietitian I’ve read says 140 or below for 2 hypoglycemia without diabetes diet plan hours post meal for a healthy non diabetic adult.
I ate some carbs today because of the BBQ but I was hosting the party and running back and forth all evening. I checked my after dinner sugar and it was 113. I even had a sliver of dessert. My fasting number is the disaster.
My doctor said a non GD patient will have spikes with carb heavy meals. Not sure what numbers that would constitute, but he made it sound like pregnant women will have high numbers from time to time too. It’s just that we would have high numbers much much more often with fewer carbs so we have to be strict with our diet and exercise so it’s not a continuous thing for our baby
How is it that so many different doctors have different limits and timing than others!? Mine says 30-45 breakfast, 45-6diabetic food schedule0 lunch & dinne and 15-30 snacks. With glucose under 120 at 2 hours and 90 at fasting.. but so many variations.. what the heck
so many variations. I have to be under 125 an hour after eating. And have to test 7 times a day. Very different to what others do. And I am diet controlled.
7 times?! Oh my gosh! I don’t understand how there are so many variations, how do we possibly know what is right and what’s not?!
I am normally plant based and all my meals were carb heavy. That’s my normal diet. I was monitoring my blood sugar the hypoglycemia without diabetes diet plan whole pregnancy and I had normal numbers until I hit about 30 weeks when GD developed again.
Everyone is different and I’m beginning to wonder if what you eat earlier in the day affects meals later on. Sometimes I can eat a burger with potato salad or pizza and have better readings than if I eat a chicken salad.
Tiffany Scoggins when managing my late grandmothers t2 and now for GD I was told to test at one, two, and three with fatty meals.
Fat will delay the absorption and you’ll spike later.
I am borderline for GD and I am keeping diet just to be on safer side. I am on my babymoon now and it’s so hard to keep up with diet. I splurged and had waffles with strawberries and whipped cream yesterday and my sugar was 156 after hour ??
Non GD pregnant people would still fall within the range of normal.
I remember seeing someone post hypoglycemia without diabetes diet plan on here a loooooong time ago. And her and her friends were all pregnant and they all told her, “you test four times a day so we will too!”
If I remember she said their numbers never went over 100 no matter what they ate.
Its up to your doctors/dietician but my MFM wants me counting total
I’ve never been told or thought to ask but I’ll be asking at my appointment Thursday.
I was told I can use net as long as the dietary fiber is 5+
Definitely depends on Dr./Dietician. Mine had me count net carbs since fiber doesn’t affect your blood sugar. But I did count if there were sugar alcohols.
Net…feel like I’m in the minority (most say total), but net works for me.
My doc said total, which is easier math for me anyway lol
