How to improve the effectiveness of insulin in diabetics

I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes and put on Metformin on June 26th, 2019. I started some diabetes diet and followed it 100% for a few weeks and could not get my blood sugar to go below 140. Finally i began to panic and called my doctor, he told me to get used to it. He said I would be on metformin my whole life and eventually insulin. At that point i knew something wasn’t right and began to do a lot of research. Then I found a diabetes website http://www.wellhealthplans.com/diabetestreatmentvideo I read that article from end to end because everything the writer was saying made absolute sense. I started the diet that day and the next morning my blood sugar was down to 100 and now i have a fasting blood sugar between Mid 70’s and the 80’s. My doctor took me off the metformin after just three week of being on this lifestyle change. I have lost over 30 pounds and 6+ inches around my waist in a month. The truth is we can get off the drugs and help myself by trying natural methods

1.Appropriate dosage.

The dose of insulin should be slightly adjusted according to changes in diet and exercise habits, and insulin should be used appropriately for each meal to control blood glucose safely.

2,Choose the appropriate dosage form.

The dose of animal insulin in diabetic patients will be greater than the dose of human insulin or human insulin analogs, and the appropriate type of insulin should be used according to each case.

3,Choose the correct injection site.

The upper arms, thighs, buttocks and abdomen are the four main areas suitable for injection. Rotating the injections in these four areas is called “big rotation”, and the four areas can be divided into several small compartments 2.5 cm apart, and the rotation in the small compartments is called “small rotation”. Injections can be given in a planned and sequential manner throughout the body to avoid fixing the injections in one place for a long period of time, thus avoiding sclerosis and lipoatrophy.

Short-acting insulin or fast-acting insulin analogs are preferred for rapid absorption and rapid reduction of postprandial blood glucose; medium- and long-acting insulin or long-acting insulin analogs can be injected into the thighs and buttocks to reduce the rate of absorption and the risk of nighttime hypoglycemia.

4.Use of insulin sensitizers.

Insulin sensitizers can increase the sensitivity of muscle, fat, liver and other tissues to insulin, improve insulin resistance and reduce insulin dosage.

5.weight control.

Overweight and obesity are important causes of insulin resistance and decreased insulin sensitivity of the body, and obese diabetics are more likely to develop diabetic complications. Reducing excess weight through proper diet, healthy lifestyle habits, and appropriate exercise is an important measure to improve insulin sensitivity in diabetics and is a good and proven method.

It is common to see clinically obese diabetic patients whose high blood glucose levels become easier to control and whose insulin doses are gradually reduced after they lose weight. The reduction in body weight and the improvement of insulin resistance also help to reduce the burden of insulin secretion from the pancreatic islet cells, which to some extent can protect the secretion capacity of endogenous insulin.

6 Improving one’s metabolism.

Many patients have a relatively poor metabolism, so they can develop diseases such as high blood pressure, which can also reduce the effect of insulin. Therefore, patients are advised to drink more water and eat more fruits and vegetables, so they can prevent the metabolism.
