how many carbs should a diabetic man have a day

I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes and put on Metformin on June 26th, 2019. I started some diabetes diet and followed it 100% for a few weeks and could not get my blood sugar to go below 140. Finally i began to panic and called my doctor, he told me to get used to it. He said I would be on metformin my whole life and eventually insulin. At that point i knew something wasn’t right and began to do a lot of research. Then I found a diabetes website http://www.wellhealthplans.com/diabetestreatmentvideo I read that article from end to end because everything the writer was saying made absolute sense. I started the diet that day and the next morning my blood sugar was down to 100 and now i have a fasting blood sugar between Mid 70’s and the 80’s. My doctor took me off the metformin after just three week of being on this lifestyle change. I have lost over 30 pounds and 6+ inches around my waist in a month. The truth is we can get off the drugs and help myself by trying natural methods

My daughter has been really high for over a week she in on her period but food for diabetes and kidney disease she is going over 90 units a day and she can’t get her numbers down at all. I have tried using a different bottle of insulin but thats not working I am considering using a pen as she gets the insulin faster. when she is high and puts it in her pump she can’t get more insulin cause the pump is still delivering insulin, just wondering what you think we should do? Ketones are fine.
Saw my doctor and he gave me prescription for this. Needs to be carried with me everywhere I go. The Joy’s of having diabetes.
Need advice for a good cream that helps fade scars, since being t1 my skin just doesn’t heal like it used to.
This May be an odd how many carbs should a diabetic man have a day question but has anyone ever taken their insulin and their sugar go up on them? It’s been happening to me lately and I don’t understand why. I haven’heart diabetes diet plant eaten yet so it makes no sense to me.
How does one work full time and manage their type one diabetes? It’s a full time job in itself having to eat healthy meals.. take insulin…test blood sugar and exercise!??
126 (7.0) T.G.I.F….Time To Rock & Roll.???????
What a day! I woke up at 3 AM and couldn’t fall back asleep. Not okay for a second shifter. I change my cartridge around 8 AM and my blood sugar slowly rises to above 400. In the midst of my waiting in the blaring heat for a covid test. And right after breakfast too! It took forever for the pump to tell me I had an occlusion. I take out my infusion set and it just gushes blood everywhere. 1 wasted infusion set and 10 hours later… I’m finally back at 118. I’m exhausted.
So….. I am so mad at myself. ?? I know it happens.
I know we make mistakes. But, it’s been a long time. I was busy with stuff at home. Got lunch ready and ate and didn’t bolus. ??
Don’t know how I didn’t get a rise rate alert or high ?? BG alert, but 2 hours later my BG was ridiculous and it’s been a mess since with the roller coaster.
Just needed to vent to others who can understand!!! I work really hard how many carbs should a diabetic man have a day to have good control – I’m not perfect by any means!!! I just can’t believe I didn’t bolus!
I’ve been recently diagnosed with T2, and other than given results from my blood work (6.6), I was never told to keep track of my blood sugar levels, but was told I could control this through a low-carb diet. I can physically feel when my body is off and not feeling well which is telling me that I’m not doing a good job picking the right foods to eat (low carb for the most part) or maybe my portions are off or I’m not eating enough. I really feel that I need to keep track of …my sugar levels so that I know what foods I can eat and which ones I cannot. Diabetes runs in every generation of my family so I need to start this off on the right foot and be responsible for my intake. Can someone please recommend a meter that I can buy that how many carbs should a diabetic man have a day isn’t terribly expensive but is accurate and easy to use. Also, are there any kits that hurt less when it comes to pricking your
