I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes and put on Metformin on June 26th, 2019. I started some diabetes diet and followed it 100% for a few weeks and could not get my blood sugar to go below 140. Finally i began to panic and called my doctor, he told me to get used to it. He said I would be on metformin my whole life and eventually insulin. At that point i knew something wasn’t right and began to do a lot of research. I started the diet that day and the next morning my blood sugar was down to 100 and now i have a fasting blood sugar between Mid 70’s and the 80’s. My doctor took me off the metformin after just three week of being on this lifestyle change. I have lost over 30 pounds and 6+ inches around my waist in a month. The truth is we can get off the drugs and help myself by trying natural methods
25 units 2x a day and my plan is to be off of that by the end of the year and my A1C is 6.0. Now I do take other meds with it to help lose weight and I am on a 1200 calorie low carb diabetic diet and am monitored every 4-6 weeks by my team. I am how to lower blood sugar fast naturally unable to do a lot of exercising because I have degenerative osteoarthritis in both knees but I walk as much as I can and it helps also. And I drink LOTS of water too.
Low carb and exercise. It didn’t happen fast for me but I lost it, still eat low carb and kept it off. I don’t like the word diet as that is a temporary word and changing habits is needed.

Yes, lost 75lbs by doing intermittent fasting. Very low carb.
You don’t eat for 12-18 hours at a time. I would have a light dinner then not eat until noon the next day. Ate 30 carbs a day max.
Whats the times you fast for. Ive been doing 7pm to noon and not much luck. Ive been eating low carb but maybe once a week ill have half a serving of a normal meal. Cause will go out to eat unless that is a no no
I did the same times. Most days I didn’t break the diabetic meal plan hospital fast until dinner. I ate very little and did this how many carbs per day pre diabetic for 1 1/2 years. Also exercised 3-4 times a week.

I found it to entail taking as little insulin as possible, which meant going no sugar or white flour for me. High fiber, nothing processed. And then examining all my beliefs about food, weight, etc and dropping the thoughts that do not help me get the results I want out of life!

Track your intake, and become very mindful as you eat. As you body allows, add so light cardio and work toward expanding it as you can tolerate it without hurting yourself. Make no mistake, its work and requires dedication. It is so very worth it though. I feel fantastic – better than I did 20 years ago.
