I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes and put on Metformin on June 26th, 2019. I started some diabetes diet and followed it 100% for a few weeks and could not get my blood sugar to go below 140. Finally i began to panic and called my doctor, he told me to get used to it. He said I would be on metformin my whole life and eventually insulin. At that point i knew something wasn’t right and began to do a lot of research. I started the diet that day and the next morning my blood sugar was down to 100 and now i have a fasting blood sugar between Mid 70’s and the 80’s. My doctor took me off the metformin after just three week of being on this lifestyle change. I have lost over 30 pounds and 6+ inches around my waist in a month. The truth is we can get off the drugs and help myself by trying natural methods

Pre-diabetes is still diabetes, just the numbers are a little lower. Therefore, should be treated as such (Low Carb High Fat way of eating) to get your glucose levels into the normal range. Unfortunately, doctors won’t tell you this.
Agreed! I was “prediabetic” for years and I wish I had understood that when I originally found out. Doctors should put it like that. I would have taken it much more seriously.
When I got my diagnosis in May, I looked on any labwork results that I had printed out from the last 10 years–on all of them I was in the “pre-diabetic” range and none of the doctors made a fuss over it ??
Check your iron level as well. If you are iron deficient you can get tingling in your legs/feet called Pallesthesia

There is one side effect I’ve found to be helpful. Faster heart rate. Melting into the couch with IF 18/6 and following this WOE with a mild to medium workout heart rate, really helped me. But you gotta NOT eat. I turned off the munchies.

I have water coffee and chicken or my very favorite mushroom broth, sounds weird I know but I love it. All of them have no calories. The website Diet Doctor has helpful information about fasting. I was so surprised that it was so easy. You could have knocked me over with a feather.
Doesn’t answer your question but I will say fasts that long are not neededed at all!!!
From my experience with my clients, the longer they fast, the quicker they get off their meds and put the diabetes in remission. But everyone is different.

Research keto deserts and have all the how many food good for diabetic dogs carbs in a pre diabetic diet keto sweets you want. There are some great substitutes out there, try them.
Tonight I put a premiere protein chocolate drink in the blender with ice, a Splenda and 4 frozen strawberries (no sugar added). It was good and I’m so satisfied. Gotta be creative. But in my experience, because I’m a huge carb addict, the first week I

What are the quantities and for how long do you bake it? I stay away from the microwave. It looks yummy! I make one but its more like A Colombian Arepa or Salvadorean tortilla which is also yummy but I would love to try a different texture… Thanks!??
