I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes and put on Metformin on June 26th, 2019. I started some diabetes diet and followed it 100% for a few weeks and could not get my blood sugar to go below 140. Finally i began to panic and called my doctor, he told me to get used to it. He said I would be on metformin my whole life and eventually insulin. At that point i knew something wasn’t right and began to do a lot of research. I started the diet that day and the next morning my blood sugar was down to 100 and now i have a fasting blood sugar between Mid 70’s and the 80’s. My doctor took me off the metformin after just three week of being on this lifestyle change. I have lost over 30 pounds and 6+ inches around my waist in a month. The truth is we can get off the drugs and help myself by trying natural methods

If you continue to experience pain please try natural solutions before you take the pain meds doc prescribe such as gabapentin etc. I was offered that crap so many times I cant count. Also if you take Metforman (sp?) it depletes you of B-12. I dont take it but B-12 is also how many carbs for diabetic woman good for your nerves and I take if faithfully and believe it is part of what had taken my pain from a 7-8 to a 0-1 but food to eat to avoid diabetes one is only on occasion. Also you mention Christmas Day and it is possible that not only food eaten around that timeframe as well as alcohol intake inflames the nerves. What is your A1C and have you had a glucose tolerance test? The reason I ask is by the time they did my A1c
my number was 6.1 so that is when PCP says that cant be the cause as prediabetic. Well that was 3 months after removing bread and pasta from my diet but still eating fruit. So the only way to tell if my A1C was much higher 3 months before going on an anti inflammatory diet is to do the glucose tolerance test. I tanked it twice, 308 the first time and 278 the second time so how many carbs for diabetic woman officially diabetic
I suggest finding out what that number is as there is a range and try how many carbs should diabetics have a day to get it under 5.7 preferably 5.5 or lower
1 thing not mentioned. I have plantar fasciitis. Eating like this I dont always get in my needed things. So I take calcium, potassium and magnesium. I also use pink salt on my food. It makes a big difference in how much my feet and legs hurt. You may want to ask for blood work and have levels checked. Just another thought to get it checked.

it can go away after some time, esp w stretches. It is a firm of inflammation. But I was eating similar to this before i had it. I think mine is from a combination of things.
My diabetes is under control, A1C was 5.5. I’ve got neuropathy in my right foot that is horrendous at times. My generic Lyrica I take helps somewhat, but not all the time. My neuropathy isn’t from diabetes. I had a Lumbar spinal fusion surgery December
2014, and have had it ever since. My surgeon said my 5th Lumbar degenerated so bad, synovial fluid leaked into my spinal canal, and hardened/calcified, trapping my nerves. My Surgeon spent three hours of that surgery trying to release those nerves. I ended up with some nerve damage from it.
Hi Amy there are many how many carbs for diabetic woman members of the neuropathy group that are ideopathic (no known cause) are diabetic, have spinal issues, got it from chemo, have been floxed and most people who have tried this combination of supplements attest to diabetic foods to eat when sugar is high improvement. I suggest giving it a try and as noted there are two RN’s for admins and are very well versed with regards to medical conditions etc
