I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes and put on Metformin on June 26th, 2019. I started some diabetes diet and followed it 100% for a few weeks and could not get my blood sugar to go below 140. Finally i began to panic and called my doctor, he told me to get used to it. He said I would be on metformin my whole life and eventually insulin. At that point i knew something wasn’t right and began to do a lot of research. Then I found a diabetes website http://www.wellhealthplans.com/diabetestreatmentvideo I read that article from end to end because everything the writer was saying made absolute sense. I started the diet that day and the next morning my blood sugar was down to 100 and now i have a fasting blood sugar between Mid 70’s and the 80’s. My doctor took me off the metformin after just three week of being on this lifestyle change. I have lost over 30 pounds and 6+ inches around my waist in a month. The truth is we can get off the drugs and help myself by trying natural methods
ine? Trying to work on that too how many carbs for a diabetic per day so it doesn’t lead to kidney disease. It can be from stress which has increased in all our lives.
it’s not like a cramp feeling. It tingles constantly.
oh, yeah..tingle isnt a part of PAD, I wish it was lol
hope you find out what it is and hope its something easier to deal with then neuropathy. I have that too. I take 1800mg Gabapentin for it. It helps but I also have PAD which is a result of diabetes as well.
When is the tingling, is it while you are walking (more how many carbs for a diabetic per day often up an incline than level), do you get cramps at night while sleeping?
Im not sure you meant to address me. I have Neuropathy diabetic veg diet plan AND PAD.
And you are correct, that wuestion was intended for Jen.
my feet hurt like crazy getting out of bed. But the tingling and pain in my calves is worse in bed pre sleeping. Although I can feel the tingling all the time. Just more obvious when laying there ??
Walk walk walk! For pain, I’m on Coumadin so I can’t take anything but Tylenol. I’ve been good lately though. Diabetes has become my number one issue now.
(I confirm also, I don’t think it’s PAD). I need to learn more about Neuropathy.
Yes it is likely neuropathy. I have/had it, pain began last March. I knew what it was as my dad and brother had it so I knew the signs. At the time I was told I was not diabetic as my fasting was always how many carbs for a diabetic per day normal. I started an anti inflammatory diet as th
at helps neuropathy pain. Then saw a bunch of doctors, vascular docs, 2 neurologists, bunch of tests and a barrage of blood work. Fast forward to June and A1C says I am prediabetic. First neurologist isnt concerned, 2nd one says any numbers of 5.7 or more causes nerve damage. So get your numbers under 5.7 and keep them there. Take a natrual B-12, meaning no fillers, I take an oral spray and exercise and key is to FOLLOW the WOE and like me you may be able to get the pain down to little or nothing. There is hope but you are the only one who can make the difference. PM if you would like.
Paddy Griffin thank you so much. I’m convinced it is this. Christmas Day. I ate normally and oh my life. Paid the price I diabetic foods for dogs was in agony. I drank a couple of glasses of alcohol. (Rarely do) and with the how many carbs for a diabetic per day pudding and other bad stuff I ate. Obviously spiked
my sugars , causing me so much pain. Lesson learnt. I’ve been batch cooking for the week ahead and I’m back on this WOE. I have to make the changes for me and with this group I know I can. Thank you.
You can do this and focus on the prize as nerves can regenerate if they arent too damaged. However, at some point like anything else they pass the point of return. Please note that I am also a member of another group who have how many carbs for a diabetic per day a number of supplements th
ey recommend which I take and a tumeric paste for the pain. They follow this WOE as well so there is no conflict. They do not benefit from the purchase of the supplements as you how many carbs are in a diabetic diet buy them on amazon rather they are two nurses who both suffer from PN (peripheral neuropathy) and have different causes of t
