I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes and put on Metformin on June 26th, 2019. I started some diabetes diet and followed it 100% for a few weeks and could not get my blood sugar to go below 140. I started the diet that day and the next morning my blood sugar was down to 100 and now i have a fasting blood sugar between Mid 70’s and the 80’s. My doctor took me off the metformin after just three week of being on this lifestyle change. I have lost over 30 pounds and 6+ inches around my waist in a month. The truth is we can get off the drugs and help myself by trying natural methods

I mix finely chopped zucchini in all hamburger meat now to get that bit of veggie. He either has not noticed or not cared. I work in a few subtle things and mine mostly just eats it but refused brussel sprouts and roasted cauliflower.

the sad part is I’m sure he is diabetic too but he won’t go get checked. His blood sugar levels are always higher than normal. ??

I cook most food so I say what we eat. He is welcome to share or make his own food.
He does not care to try my veggies or to learn to cook compliant. I am okay w that. Because I will do mine.
You do you. Don’t fight it. No reason to. Just tell him you have to cook say cauliflower and he can share it or just eat heart healthy recipes for diabetics the meat you prepared to go w it and do his own veggie.

Eating out- just make the best of it. Or request 2 stops and take food home. I get salads and plain burgers a lot. Plain Steaks, plain chicken. Most places will cook plain if you tell them to and will bring you plain butter. I use that on my meat as a fat/flavor/ dressing.
If you list some fave places I bet some could help you make plans for ordering
that’s too bad he’s picky. We love all kinds of food but I have to make sure I eat what’s good for me. Man/woman do not live by junk food alone??
