I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes and put on Metformin on June 26th, 2019. I started some diabetes diet and followed it 100% for a few weeks and could not get my blood sugar to go below 140. At that point i knew something wasn’t right and began to do a lot of research. I started the diet that day and the next morning my blood sugar was down to 100 and now i have a fasting blood sugar between Mid 70’s and the 80’s. My doctor took me off the metformin after just three week of being on this lifestyle change. I have lost over 30 pounds and 6+ inches around my waist in a month. The truth is we can get off the drugs and help myself by trying natural methods

Too much artificial sweetners give me a migraine so I eat them sparingly.
Tippi Sladaritz I get the same reaction to artificial sweetners in diet pop, so I don’t really drink it. I had the same amount of coffee/sweetner healthy foods for diabetics list that I usually have every morning. I don’t have the same response to fat that you do though.
ortions are fairly large, I will eat a small zuchini and yellow squash diced up with my steak and mushrooms. Seems like you’re eating more than the allowed 50 g. carbs. Especially if you’re eating 1foods should avoid in diabetes /2 plate of veggies. I used to do that but can’t anymore. With veggies you really have to watch your portions so you get the right carb count for them.

asing my portions to maintain my weight, so I don’t get any thinner. I’m burning off so much so fast. Either way, I haven’t changed the content of my food, so its weird I had nausea.
Since I napped, the nausea has subsided and my appetite is back.
I’ve had similar problems, including Diarrhea with metformin.
its weird, I’ve never had any side effects from the metformin since I started it last healthy breakfast ideas for diabetes October. Maybe this is just the first time I’m having side effects.
Typically protein can help reduce nausea because it reduces stomach acid. Try a Gatorade zero, and is there a possibility of pregnancy?
The salami is processed meat. They use a sugar cure when it’s made. All processed meat will through you off. Salami, pepperoni, bologna, kielbasa, etc. None of it is compliant.
