I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes and put on Metformin on June 26th, 2019. I started some diabetes diet and followed it 100% for a few weeks and could not get my blood sugar to go below 140. Finally i began to panic and called my doctor, he told me to get used to it. He said I would be on metformin my whole life and eventually insulin. At that point i knew something wasn’t right and began to do a lot of research. Then I found a diabetes website http://www.wellhealthplans.com/diabetestreatmentvideo I read that article from end to end because everything the writer was saying made absolute sense. I started the diet that day and the next morning my blood sugar was down to 100 and now i have a fasting blood sugar between Mid 70’s and the 80’s. My doctor took me off the metformin after just three week of being on this lifestyle change. I have lost over 30 pounds and 6+ inches around my waist in a month. The truth is we can get off the drugs and help myself by trying natural methods
potential to throw off chemical balance.
I had to stop it a couple times over the years. Depression/Anxiety.
It’s dealing with hormones, and good foods for type 2 diabetes not only used for diabetes but things like polycystic ovarian diet for type 2 diabetes food list syndrome. Hormones make the world go round!

I felt like junk when I was misdiagnosed and put on Metformin. I was actually relieved to start insulin ??
So, is there a better med out there than Metformin? I guess everyone is different, so it depends! Ugh!

Just remember to start out and stay well hydrated during walks in the hot weather.
I have lived with this for over 56 years. For me, diabetes is just something I live with. I have to deal with it, but it does good foods for diabetics type 2 foods for type 2 diabetes not define me or limit me. It is just diabetes. I have more important things to focus on.
Buy them all time usually cheap at king soopers or b1g1 at the gas station I work at
After an run or cycle yes after the low during exercise when I stop it goes through the roof – or used to – now 20 mins before I stop I turn up basal and give a 2 unit bolus too …., that’s me but sugars went from 4 – 24 immediately I stopped
swapped to Fiasp which kicks in quicker. Not sure what you would do for type2…….. other than go for a wall or cool down exercise after – that’s what I do when I can.
Your body release glucose for energy and doesn’t know to turn it off when you immediately stop and since our bodies don’t work the same as someone without diabetes they don’t realize to stop it. I always have to dose usually how many carbs a day for gestational diabetes after long bike rides.
Check good foods for type 2 diabetes your blood glucose before exercise. Safe range is 135-240. If you exercise longer than 30 minutes, stop at 30 minutes, check blood glucose. You may need to refuel with a small amount of carb, then continue. Longer periods of time and higher inte
nsity levels can cause the high levels in the hours following exercise. Drink lots of water also and consider two ounces of Gatorade (regular) in a 16 ounce bottle of water also.
Depends what you are doing and how long for. Cardio for a long period may make it rise as may HiTT and resistance training. Shorter cardio session drop it also depends on active medication for me insulin onboard as type 1 and what food i have consumed and how long before.
I found very much trial and error. Don’t give up the benefits are worth it.

Intense cardio can temporarily raise your blood sugar because the body releases stored sugar so you
