gluten free and diabetes 2

I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes and put on Metformin on June 26th, 2019. I started some diabetes diet and followed it 100% for a few weeks and could not get my blood sugar to go below 140. Finally i began to panic and called my doctor, he told me to get used to it. He said I would be on metformin my whole life and eventually insulin. At that point i knew something wasn’t right and began to do a lot of research. Then I found a diabetes website http://www.wellhealthplans.com/diabetestreatmentvideo I read that article from end to end because everything the writer was saying made absolute sense. I started the diet that day and the next morning my blood sugar was down to 100 and now i have a fasting blood sugar between Mid 70’s and the 80’s. My doctor took me off the metformin after just three week of being on this lifestyle change. I have lost over 30 pounds and 6+ inches around my waist in a month. The truth is we can get off the drugs and help myself by trying natural methods

I actually went to the Endo expecting they would be starting to medicate me for Hashimoto’s thyroiditis.
I’m a non gad type 1 diagnosed at 44 yrs old. My endo was honest and said a lot of doctors would diagnose me as type 2 due to age. I also am normal weight and workout nearly daily. Please insist on extra testing. My big was 386 and after a week gluten free and diabetes 2 with no
carbs foods, literally meat cheese nuts low carb vegetables and 2+ hours of working out every day for 8 days (no cheating not at all) blood glucose was 260. Then She did some test to show insulin production and it was near zero. I am on insulin now and so much better. A1C 5.7-6.2 for 3 years. Don’t be scared. You can do this.
So I’m a fit type 2 with normal insulin production. But a huge family history of Type 2 and a few Type 1’s. I get your frustration. One thing I wanted to ask… you mentioned you raised your body fat percentage. Why? Was that a doctor recommendation? And why? I’m probably about 18%.

But I am not saying stop taking insulin in your honeymoon period but let body decide whether it require external help or not . Till the time it’s doing it’s job pls take a back step and let they do its job
