I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes and put on Metformin on June 26th, 2019. I started some diabetes diet and followed it 100% for a few weeks and could not get my blood sugar to go below 140. Finally i began to panic and called my doctor, he told me to get used to it. He said I would be on metformin my whole life and eventually insulin. At that point i knew something wasn’t right and began to do a lot of research. Then I found a diabetes website http://www.wellhealthplans.com/diabetestreatmentvideo I read that article from end to end because everything the writer was saying made absolute sense. I started the diet that day and the next morning my blood sugar was down to 100 and now i have a fasting blood sugar between Mid 70’s and the 80’s. My doctor took me off the metformin after just three week of being on this lifestyle change. I have lost over 30 pounds and 6+ inches around my waist in a month. The truth is we can get off the drugs and help myself by trying natural methods
mal C-Peptide, and normal HDL/Chol ratio w/ low normal Triglycerides. I actually fit at least 3 MODY profiles. And that would rewire genetic testing. gestational diabetes meal plans pdf LADA caught very early could look like this as well.
That was require…not rewire. I have a bad case of auto-incorrect!
Did the endo test for auto antibodies? I was atypical when first diagnosed but the endo tested for auto antibodies and found that I am type 1.5 LADA.
She only tested for GAD and ANA . The latter due to a lot of swelling in my feet and Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis (diagnosed 3 years ago after I asked my primary care Dr. to test, runs in my family and I had all the symptoms my Dad had. And I treat dog’s fo
r that all the time and I suspected that I had it.) Also tested RF Factor…negative. My ANA came back positive and speckled this time (It’s been negative gestational diabetes meal plans pdf over and over again including last year when my dermatologist ran it). But that was likely from the thyroid issue, Reynaud Syndrome, and I have chronic Epstein Barr elevated gestational diabetes meal plans pdf titers. Also, I drink tons of Tonic water. (because I like it…also, not bad with a little splash of Gin or Ritual alcohol free Gin) Quinine can cause a positive speckled so she was unconcerned with that. She cannot explain the low Bgs especially while I’m asleep. Agrees that the OGTT results from my mid-twenties indicates defects in my phase 1 insulin release, and is now not at all sure that this is an early diagnosis. She think s my achilles tendon injury may have to do with the diabetes. I think it’s because I got back good food for diabetes and cholesterol on the same rebounder that has broken my right heel 3 times …. I was hoping it would be better than jogging around the clinic’s hard gestational diabetes meal plans pdf floor and making my plantar fasciitis worse…..so wrong on that one! Pretty sure I partially ruptured the tendon soon my left, will find out when I see my ortho in 3 weeks. Her gestational diabetes meal plans pdf lack of concern that this is Atypical how to manage gestational diabetes presentation and clearly runs in my family over at least three generations is why I have reached out to my primary. She is awesome.
Also, my C-Peptide is within normals on a fast. Low end, but normal. I know that doesn’t rule out LADA in and of itself.
I’m so sorry you have all this to deal with. Myself and two of my siblings have LADA. Each of us diagnosed between the ages of 26-34. Family history of type 2 late in age. I’m looking for a new endo so I can get more answers. Diabetes sucks!!
same. I was diagnosed with T2 and then later with 1.5. ??
Diabetes totally sucks! And I do have a concern that this Endo will just wait and if it turns out I am LADA and not Type 2 she will wait until I am very sick then just tell me to take inulin.
Get tested for antibodies. I would venture to sat say you gestational diabetes meal plans pdf are T1 or T1.5
Tested for GAD already. Negative. If my primary wants to do the full panel I am up for it. Bt I would like the MODY genetic testing done. My Mom and aunt fit the criteria for MODY 5 but they died just a few years before there was a genetic test for it.
My dd GAD was negative as well. She only
