gestational diabetes diet meal plans

I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes and put on Metformin on June 26th, 2019. I started some diabetes diet and followed it 100% for a few weeks and could not get my blood sugar to go below 140. Finally i began to panic and called my doctor, he told me to get used to it. He said I would be on metformin my whole life and eventually insulin. At that point i knew something wasn’t right and began to do a lot of research. Then I found a diabetes website http://www.wellhealthplans.com/diabetestreatmentvideo I read that article from end to end because everything the writer was saying made absolute sense. I started the diet that day and the next morning my blood sugar was down to 100 and now i have a fasting blood sugar between Mid 70’s and the 80’s. My doctor took me off the metformin after just three week of being on this lifestyle change. I have lost over 30 pounds and 6+ inches around my waist in a month. The truth is we can get off the drugs and help myself by trying natural methods

Wow, your poor thing. After all that, I hope you didn’t have to go to work!
I temporarily work from home, fortunately! Which I could manage. But going into the call center? Ha, I I wouldn’t have. I can’t climb stairs when I’m high.
That is awful. Today my sugar got to 479 my pump was clogged. So I had to change my infusion site. . ! No BUENO!!!
I forget to give insulin so often when I eat!! I’ve been diabetic since I was 7, so you’d think forgetting wouldn’t happen often, but it still doesn’t feel like habit!
gestational diabetes diet meal plans thanks for sharing. I am usually good at it! Funny, I was 7 when I was diagnosed too! I am 45 now! I was so upset at myself!
No lie. diabetic food diary app Just eating dinner reading this and said “oh shit”. Thanks for the reminder.
Lol happy to help!!!! It’s rare for me to do this. I struggle so I try to be vigilant!
I don’t know the conversion- I’m in Canada so it’s metric. I was at 15.0 after I forgot to bolus!!!! I like to be at 6. My high alerts start at 8.4.
well gestational diabetes diet meal plans you’re back to where you want to be? I was a little late but should have caught it
I understand. I often check my Inpen app to make sure I dosed correctly. Tonight was one of those nights that I was off by .5 units. I thought I could make adjustments with my meal. I should have added that .5 after dinner. I’ve been in the low 200s ever since, even with a short walk. I guess it’s time easy diabetic snack recipes for a correction.
it is hard some days!!! There are many variables for us!
even though the app recommended 2 units, I dosed 1.5 units. Within an hour or so before bed, I’d rather not go low overnight. I’d rather be a little high in the morning than have my cgm alert me with a falling bg at 4 am!
Guess what made me get out of bed at 4 am? Dexcom alert. I calibrated it at 75, had some Gatorade, and went back to gestational diabetes diet meal plans sleep for a few hours. I guess I should have had some extra protein before bed after the carbs I had for dinner.
oops right! I guess we aren’t alone it’s happened to all of us!

bolus is the amount of insulin given by your insulin pump to cover the carbohydrates in your meal.
