I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes and put on Metformin on June 26th, 2019. I started some diabetes diet and followed it 100% for a few weeks and could not get my blood sugar to go below 140. Finally i began to panic and called my doctor, he told me to get used to it. He said I would be on metformin my whole life and eventually insulin. At that point i knew something wasn’t right and began to do a lot of research. Then I found a diabetes website http://www.wellhealthplans.com/diabetestreatmentvideo I read that article from end to end because everything the writer was saying made absolute sense. I started the diet that day and the next morning my blood sugar was down to 100 and now i have a fasting blood sugar between Mid 70’s and the 80’s. My doctor took me off the metformin after just three week of being on this lifestyle change. I have lost over 30 pounds and 6+ inches around my waist in a month. The truth is we can get off the drugs and help myself by trying natural methods
t coated popcorn. this was an easy fix: Just substitute either Allulose or Swerve for the sugar. AND watch your portions.
Pamela Koretsky I decided that since I could no longer eat what I wanted, whenever I wanted, and as much as I wanted that all the food I eat must make my tastebuds wake up and do a happy dance. I’ve become a diabetic foodie. And I’m working on family recipes. the result must have the flavor and texture of the original or do it one better. Most fixes are pretty simple.

Simon Wall Your not alone at all .. life and it’s temptations are a constant struggle .. I will be doing so well with what I eat and then now and then I subconsciously get junk food … it’s hard to be perfect … stay positive and do the best you can but don’t beat yourself up …, that’s my thoughts

I would love to start and support an accountability thread when it comes to what we eat to encourage and support each other – myself included. I use a Food DIary myself and I have a template, guide and Hunger Scale we can use.
