foods diabetics should never eat

I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes and put on Metformin on June 26th, 2019. I started some diabetes diet and followed it 100% for a few weeks and could not get my blood sugar to go below 140. Finally i began to panic and called my doctor, he told me to get used to it. He said I would be on metformin my whole life and eventually insulin. At that point i knew something wasn’t right and began to do a lot of research. Then I found a diabetes website http://www.wellhealthplans.com/diabetestreatmentvideo I read that article from end to end because everything the writer was saying made absolute sense. I started the diet that day and the next morning my blood sugar was down to 100 and now i have a fasting blood sugar between Mid 70’s and the 80’s. My doctor took me off the metformin after just three week of being on this lifestyle change. I have lost over 30 pounds and 6+ inches around my waist in a month. The truth is we can get off the drugs and help myself by trying natural methods

Sonja Skinner My mother is type two. She was scheduled for a very important back surgery. Her blood sugar was 240 and they turned her away. She was prepped, had spoken to anesthesiology and to the doctor, then BAM surgery is off. This will be his whole life.
LaTasha McClendon-DoveAuthor Sonja Skinner EXACTLY!!! She should know this!!! And I referred patients to that office for 5 years, they are an amazing group and I would take my own son there.
Also, trying to compare a gallbladder surgery to an extraction is just ridiculous. Of course if it’s an emergency, they’ll treat him. BUT, if it’s scheduled, it won’t happen. Just like foods diabetics should never eat your mom.
Sonja Skinner LaTasha McClendon-Dove hang in there. foods diabetics should never eat You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink.
Gayle Smith Harrell Usually on any surgery at any kind they do blood work and want your A1C at or below 7
LaTasha McClendon-DoveAuthor Gayle Smith Harrell That was exactly what they told me the second time I had surgery. They have guidelines they HAVE to follow or it comes back on them. If not in damage to the patient, in legal issues. foods diabetics should never eat Who wants to jeopardize their practice by putting a child at risk?! I wouldn’t!
Gayle Smith Harrell LaTasha McClendon-Dove nope I sure wouldn’t
Josh Cordle Maybe he needs to be on a insulin pump to try to get his blood sugars down idk it might help or if he’s already on a insulin pump maybe changes to Basel etc
LaTasha McClendon-DoveAuthor Josh Cordle he had a pump at one time but I’m not food which reduce diabetes sure what reason they got rid of it. He needs foods diabetics should never eat to see a dietitian and a freaking endocrinologist.
Josh Cordle LaTasha McClendon-Dove yes I do agree with that and I do believe a insulin pump would help as well because the tslim x2 insulin pump has helped me a lot and has bring my a1c down a lot so far and I wonder why he’s not seeing a endocrinologist makes me wonder why some parents don’t necessarily believe in doctors like I do
Margaret Skillicorn It sounds like that poor kid is going to be 18 before he starts to figure this out for himself. The mum probably thinks she is doing the right thing and of course we don’t know her struggle but he will be the one to suffer. As someone above said, you can lead a horse to water. You have done all that you can but it is clearly falling on deaf ears. All she wants to hear is OmGz, ThAT iS sOoo WrOnG!?!?! diet and diabetes book (Yes, it did hurt me to type that last bit ha ha)
Ashley-and Al Bagwell I would absolutely reply to the second post by stating that foods diabetics should never eat you cannot compare apples to oranges. An emergency gall bladder surgery is much different than needing wisdom teeth removed. Wisdom teeth extraction is an elective surgical procedure, and I am 99.999999% sure that her son will not die if they are not removed. Yes, foods diabetics should never eat controlling blood sugar levels in a hormonal teenager is difficult, but even so, they (she, her son, and his endo) should be able to work together to lower his averages.
