I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes and put on Metformin on June 26th, 2019. I started some diabetes diet and followed it 100% for a few weeks and could not get my blood sugar to go below 140. Finally i began to panic and called my doctor, he told me to get used to it. He said I would be on metformin my whole life and eventually insulin. At that point i knew something wasn’t right and began to do a lot of research. Then I found a diabetes website http://www.wellhealthplans.com/diabetestreatmentvideo I read that article from end to end because everything the writer was saying made absolute sense. I started the diet that day and the next morning my blood sugar was down to 100 and now i have a fasting blood sugar between Mid 70’s and the 80’s. My doctor took me off the metformin after just three week of being on this lifestyle change. I have lost over 30 pounds and 6+ inches around my waist in a month. The truth is we can get off the drugs and help myself by trying natural methods
alking about I bust out crying. Idk why I’m taking this so hard. I’m usually a health freak and worry about my health. I will admit I have eaten a little bad but a balance with healthy food through my pregnancy so far. ( mostly just milkshakes and cereal) I feel defeated and a failure. I feel so unhealthy. I’m not putting anyone down. This is just how I’m feeling right now. I think I’m mostly scared of having diabetes in the future. Did anyone else feel this way??
What was your number that made you easy meals for type 2 diabetes fail ? My doctor said I’m extremely high at 243.
Just out of curiosity how long did you whole labor take with being induced as a first time mom? ??
Needing some help regarding insomnia. I’ve found some research stating lack of sleep can really impact fasting numbers. I’ve really had issues for 7+ years and tried everything I could research to minimal avail (natural supplements, eating eggs and diabetes meditation, exercise, no exercise, visceral manipulation, dry needling, OTC pills, and limiting screen time before bed.) My PCP refuses to prescribe sleeping pills to women with small children and I was put on a prescription for general…ized anxiety which doesn’t really help either. I’ve just adjusted my life to minimal sleep (less than 5 hrs.)
This entire pregnancy it’s limited to less than 3-4 continuous hrs and getting harder to keep even that. I was easy meals for type 2 diabetes never this bad with my first pregnancy. I passed my 3 hr but my fasting was 90 so they have me monitoring 4x a day. All my after meal numbers are perfect. Despite all best efforts and dieting numbers barely drop below 95 currently. I’ve discussed the sleep issues at EVERY visit but it gets brushed off and I’m told “you’re just pregnant.” It just feels foods pre-diabetics should avoid like I’m stressing out even more which is not helping. Has anyone else had issues with this? If so what have you tried to help just get some darn sleep???
How does everyone do with white rice? I’m craving it!
Ughhhh this headache from the caffeine withdraw is unreal!!! After being diagnosed with GD I cut my soda back to 1 -12oz can a day. Yesterday was my first day without any soda because I was trying to keep my numbers down since I had more carbs at lunch and dinner. Well it worked easy meals for type 2 diabetes and my numbers stayed in range but dear lord My head feels like it’s going to spilt open today??
Not the prettiest but I made a buffalo chicken tortilla pizza and it tasted really darn good. I made two and I ate 1.5 of them. Each tortilla had 13g of carbs and just how many carbs should be in a diabetic diet tested at 2 hours later and got 100! I also ate a large side of grilled zucchini ????
This made my day – I love me a calypso and haven’t been able to have one in weeks. Found these today at Kroger for $1. They also had strawberry and blue raspberry but they were all sold out.
I tested for my fasting this morning, it was at 97 which is high for my because my fasting is usually in the 80’s. (I had my usual snack) I tested another finger and it was 93. I got 9 hours of sleep but I never test this early but I couldn’t go back to sleep
