I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes and put on Metformin on June 26th, 2019. I started some diabetes diet and followed it 100% for a few weeks and could not get my blood sugar to go below 140. Finally i began to panic and called my doctor, he told me to get used to it. He said I would be on metformin my whole life and eventually insulin. At that point i knew something wasn’t right and began to do a lot of research. Then I found a diabetes website http://www.wellhealthplans.com/diabetestreatmentvideo I read that article from end to end because everything the writer was saying made absolute sense. I started the diet that day and the next morning my blood sugar was down to 100 and now i have a fasting blood sugar between Mid 70’s and the 80’s. My doctor took me off the metformin after just three week of being on this lifestyle change. I have lost over 30 pounds and 6+ inches around my waist in a month. The truth is we can get off the drugs and help myself by trying natural methods
Ireland and we seem to do things a little differently!
! If I forget to test after one hour, I’m allowed to test after 2 hours and they want <120. Every dietician is different. I would recommend to call her on Monday to get an appointment in.
under 95 for fasting, under 120 2 hours after meals
I’m 33 weeks and at 32 weeks he was 70th percentile. Sorta freaking out. Going on insulin tomorrow.
Mine always had a large belly measure (they never told me the how many carbs should a gestational diabetic eat a day %). She was born 6lbs 12 ounces and had 1 lower sugar at birth. She nursed and was fine after that. She is 18 months and still has a larger belly but only weighs 20ish pounds. Just do your best diabetic junk food to control your sugars and doctors should continue to monitor.
Yes! I’m 29w3d and now I eat because I have to. The GD sure did change my views on things. I’m not interested because I’m tired of figuring out what damn protein I’m gonna pair with carbs. Side note I loveeee cheese but now I’m like nope no more cheese for me!
it’s terrible… As time goes on I’m having more and more of a hard time…
I am the same way. I legit yelled at my bedtime snack the other night! Like I ate so much during the day and I was not hungry at all but I had to eat it. I am developing a hate for food. ????
And the nutritionist tells me not to drink juice to eat the actual fruit…then I go to the doc and they tell me my iron is so low if i don’t increase it I will need a transfusion asap and I should take 3 iron pills a day with a tall glass of orange diabetic junk food ju
Yes! It gets exhausting. Trying Chipotle for dinner tonight ??
I go through phases. I started the strict diet at 12 weeks and I’m now 30. I don’t want to eat and then I find something I can have and tastes good and I get a second wind. My current thing is diabetic food at tesco “keto cheesecake smoothie”
Me… I have ADD that’s not medicated while pregnant and trying to think of meals and count carbs and do everything is just so overwhelming that I just am turned off by diabetic junk food eating in general bc I’m not capable of thinking these abstract meals
Yep! I hate it. Protein shakes/bars save me. They’re easy enough to force down when I know I need to eat but I’m just tired of it. I didn’t eat much before my diagnosis anyways, because this pregnancy just made me not very hungry.
Yes ! I was diagnosed at 18 weeks and currently 24, I just eat for the baby at this diabetic junk food point .
Yes! It’s time for my dinner and I have heartburn and am not hungry at all and have zero interest in eating yet again today… ugh I’ll even have a bedtime snack to “look forward to” after this ??
16 weeks today and I’m so tired of protein. Diagnosed at 8 weeks
Nothing eating beans with diabetes sounds good to me and I force myself to eat all the time. Although, I had half a cookie tonight and now my blood sugar is 139??
Yes I’m the same way at 36 weeks pregnant. Literally diabetic junk food forcing myself to eat food
I want what you all have. I can literally always eat. Always.
I would bring a pair of shower shoes or flip flips for your shower. Husband might want to too.
