diabetic friendly crockpot recipes

I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes and put on Metformin on June 26th, 2019. I started some diabetes diet and followed it 100% for a few weeks and could not get my blood sugar to go below 140. Finally i began to panic and called my doctor, he told me to get used to it. He said I would be on metformin my whole life and eventually insulin. At that point i knew something wasn’t right and began to do a lot of research. Then I found a diabetes website http://www.wellhealthplans.com/diabetestreatmentvideo I read that article from end to end because everything the writer was saying made absolute sense. I started the diet that day and the next morning my blood sugar was down to 100 and now i have a fasting blood sugar between Mid 70’s and the 80’s. My doctor took me off the metformin after just three week of being on this lifestyle change. I have lost over 30 pounds and 6+ inches around my waist in a month. The truth is we can get off the drugs and help myself by trying natural methods

lunch!
sounds like what I do but take away the avocado. I haven’t felt this way until today though??
ever since i added avocado, my numbers have been really good. I even had a brownie yesterday, the first real sugar ive had & my numbers were under 100 after an hour. For me avocados are like my #1 hero right now ??
Same. I eat my meal, wait two hours and test, and then based on that I have a high protein snack. Didn’t realize how much food I’d had to sacrifice having GD. The only perk is weight loss.
exactly . I just had my midday snack at 6. Think I’m about how many carbs do diabetics need per day to go ahead and eat again and just test 1 and 2 hrs to just to make diabetic friendly crockpot recipes sure I’m good because this is painful ??
I feel you sister! I cried yesterday because my husband bought cinnamon toast crunch for himself lol. I told him if he’s going to eat sugary stuff like that he needs to hide it from me. Meanwhile I was eating wheat thins ??
I get like this about once a week. I just snack all day long. My nutritionist said it’s perfectly fine, but obviously chose healthy options. I don’t test my snacks, but if my meal numbers are fine those days, I was told not to worry about it. This was the first concern I brought up. I’m like an endless pit some days.
This is me. I just eat GIANT meals no matter how much meat I’m eating lol. And then I wait till snack time (after the two hour test wait time)
Your diabetic meal delivery fasting should only be for 8 hours, so if it’s been more than 8 hours I wouldn’t use it for that.
Do you test your fasting if you sleep longer than 8
My doctor always diabetic friendly crockpot recipes told me just to set an alarm for 8 hours after, test, then go back to sleep ??????
My doctor advised that fasting should be between 60-90
Fasting should be 8-10 hours, so if it’s been longer than it’s not an accurate fasting number. In general tho, 100 isn’t a bad number to be sitting at.
yeah it’s cause I just got my monitor just now in the mail and I wanted to check it and I had just woken up.
High for fasting.. my dietician says fasting below
My high risk OB said anything above 90 is not ideal for the baby. My fasting s ranged from 88-94 and I was put in long acting insulin at gestational diabetes breakfast without eggs bedtime and my fasting have been 70’s. My A1C was 4.9, but he said it can cause issues with the baby if fasting levels aren’t controlled and they will get harder to control as the pregnancy progresses.
it is strange how doctors differ so much. Mine want my fasting 95 or less. Mine range from high 80s to diabetic friendly crockpot recipes 94 and they are happy with that. They said meds won’t be required unless they are elevated over 95 consistently. ????
If it’s been longer than 8-10 hours I wouldn’t use it as a fasting. I was told 8 is ideal but no more than 10. I never go more than 10 fasting. I have a protein shake and snack right before bed.
Wait you have to test between 8-10 hrs? I sleep like 12 sometimes and that’s when I’ve been testing soooo I mean my numbers have been fine?
if it’s not 8-10 hours it’s not a fasting number. Should also be testing before moving about for the d
