I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes and put on Metformin on June 26th, 2019. I started some diabetes diet and followed it 100% for a few weeks and could not get my blood sugar to go below 140. Finally i began to panic and called my doctor, he told me to get used to it. He said I would be on metformin my whole life and eventually insulin. At that point i knew something wasn’t right and began to do a lot of research. Then I found a diabetes website http://www.wellhealthplans.com/diabetestreatmentvideo I read that article from end to end because everything the writer was saying made absolute sense. I started the diet that day and the next morning my blood sugar was down to 100 and now i have a fasting blood sugar between Mid 70’s and the 80’s. My doctor took me off the metformin after just three week of being on this lifestyle change. I have lost over 30 pounds and 6+ inches around my waist in a month. The truth is we can get off the drugs and help myself by trying natural methods

do terrible with a whole white flour hamburger bun so I’m assuming I’d do terrible with white bread.
I do a half sandwich diabetic food plan chart and it keeps my numbers where they need to be
i can’t do white bread, but i use Sara Lee Delightful bread & it hits my cravings for a sandwich. It’s 19g carbs for 2 slices.
So sarah Lee makes this whole grain white bread and I can do it. Honestly I dont even notice a difference then normal white bread
If that doesn’t work for you and you buy more bread, I eat the Nature’s Own wheat bread (not honey wheat) and my numbers are great. I’ve actually been eating this diabetic food plan chart bread for years and don’t even like white does kombucha spike blood sugar bread anymore
I actually had a half of a sub once and my sugars were absolutely fine. Lots of meat on it.
You will have to try and see. I could only do one slice of bread. I could do a 6″subway bread with all of the middle pulled out.
I always had great numbers with Nature’s Own sugar free whole grain!
I buy the zero net carb bread from aldi and can have sandwiches
White bread spikes me but I can eat a whole wheat sandwich with two slices.
I did really well with Dave’s Killer Bread! But not white bread .
I have but it was sourdough. Not sure if that makes a difference (I bake my own). I’m finding that having a boatload of protein with every meal is what’s helping my numbers more than specific foods. So far, nothing has really spiked me but my medical team said it’s ok to foods to avoid for type 2 diabetes try stuff and diabetic food plan chart if it spikes me, avoid it, but not to cut stuff out just in case if it fits my carb goals.
I’ve done fine with white bread, I had a lobster roll today that was in a white hot dog like roll and was 124 after an hour and only 92 after two hours. I had a hot sausage sub for dinner last night with cheese, peppers and onions and was 112 after an hour. As long as I pair it with enough protein I am good.
Ok guys two hour mark was 116!!!!! Close but a pass!
I can do fine with white bread but I only do half a sandwich, a yogurt, and a small bowl of fruit
All breads make me have higher numbers BUT just make sure there’s tons of protein and you should be fine!
Having toasties for tea, and grabbed my low carb seed bread and found mould ??

What I would do is have diabetic food plan chart half the sandwich and fruit and a small salad.
I can have footlong sub on white, just need to swim in the pool afterwards.

I use whole wheat or daves killer bread thin sliced whole grain
I don’t do good well with bread barely scrap in white sends me over everyone different
Sprouted grain bread is a lot more nutritious and will not be as prone to spike your blood sugar because it’s much more complex.
I’m pretty sure qdoba would be good for your numbers! Chipotle does well for me I just don’t get rice. My dietician recommended the calorie king app to look up restaurants too.
