diabetic food book

I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes and put on Metformin on June 26th, 2019. I started some diabetes diet and followed it 100% for a few weeks and could not get my blood sugar to go below 140. Finally i began to panic and called my doctor, he told me to get used to it. He said I would be on metformin my whole life and eventually insulin. At that point i knew something wasn’t right and began to do a lot of research. Then I found a diabetes website http://www.wellhealthplans.com/diabetestreatmentvideo I read that article from end to end because everything the writer was saying made absolute sense. I started the diet that day and the next morning my blood sugar was down to 100 and now i have a fasting blood sugar between Mid 70’s and the 80’s. My doctor took me off the metformin after just three week of being on this lifestyle change. I have lost over 30 pounds and 6+ inches around my waist in a month. The truth is we can get off the drugs and help myself by trying natural methods

My first was 10.6 pounds and I was screened multiple times. Always tested negative.
I wasn’t tested with 1st baby boy, he was 9lb 4oz.
Tested late (36weeks) with 2nd baby boy as I was really poorly, positive and he was 9lb 9oz.
Tested at 28weeks with youngest baby (a girl) tested positive straight away and she was 7lb 13oz xx having a big baby free diabetic diet plan to lose weight diabetic food bookdoesn’t guarantee GD, there are lots of other factors apart from this one xx

Both my kids were almost 9 lbs. I know for a fact I did not have GD with both.
that’s dumb. my boys were both around 8 lbs and i did not have gd…
That used to be considered a normal birth weight. My doctor estimates my diabetic food book baby will be 8lbs & says that is big. To me that is normal. My first child was that weight & I didn’t have GD then.
Not true. My first 2 were 8 and 9 pounds. I didn’t have GD with them. Yet my 3rd baby was a GD baby and she was the smallest at 7lb.
Nope my first two were 8lb 15 oz and it was due to swelling from pre e no gd with either

Sooooo over 8 lbs diabetic food book baby delivered at 42 weeks, which is textbook weight for my first. I didn’t have GD with her. I’m starting to question how are these people trained if the instructions we get from them are so far apart from each other ??
Omg that is so wrong. 7lb is tiny for a baby! Lol
That is super wrong, most people who have big babies are just genetically predisposed that way, it’s actually rare for GD to cause large babies, usually GD causes rapid growth, or lack of growth, so maybe your baby was growing on schedule like mine, an
ridiculous, haha. i would have written a comment about her.
I think you should chat with your endocrine about this. GD is NOT a one size fits all diagnosis. And for sure that’s not real. I had a 10lb baby for my second and we followed my sugars the entire way through and I was fine and I ate shit tons of carbs diabetic food book so I wouldn’t puke my entire pregnancy. Never a spike or an issue until this current baby.
I will say, I do think a good number of GD goes undiagnosed. With my first, I only missed my sugar test by 1 point, but she said that that 1 sugar that was 1 point higher she couldn’t ignore and diagnosed me. I ended up being on insulin because I couldn’t get my fasting sugars under control and that wasn’t even the one that had the elevated sugar when I took my 3 hour test.
I had a 1diabetic food book0 lb baby boy never diet to avoid gestational diabeteshad GD and baby tested fine….He is now 20 and 6’5” and 290 lbs! He was meant to big!
My husband was over 10lbs. His mom never had GD and every baby after was a 1lb less than the last baby. So it went 10,9,8,7,6 . My friend also had a 10lbs baby never had GD as well. They also made sure to test my mother in law because she has family hi
